Come and take a look at the second half of our 2023 UK Garden Study Tour sharing
Since arriving in London on July 2nd, for many consecutive days, the garden tour that started from Kew Gardens has been more than half over. Along the way, we have visited Kew Gardens/Blog Without Sidebar, Batsford Arboretum/, Cambridge Botanic Garden/, Barnsdale Gardens/, Coton Manor Gardens,/ Austin’s Rose Headquarters/, Dorothy Clive Garden/, and Burton Agnes Garden/. We also visited Clarkson’s Farm/ and strolled in the two most beautiful British villages of Water Burton and Cotswold/. We also visited the Hampton Court Flower Show/ and the Palace Gardens/. The trip was full of rich and wonderful experiences.

For flower enthusiasts, strolling through gardens is even more delightful than feasting on delicious food. It brings both physical and mental pleasure, satisfying the eyes and nourishing the soul. However, you might ask:
Even with the top-notch gardens in the UK as a “feast”, wouldn’t it be tiring to have it every day?
Would there still be room for the rest of the itinerary?
Sure! Gardens are magical!
Stepping through each garden gate, every cell in my body seems to be awakened by the beauty, brimming with energy to rush towards and absorb it all. To feel and soak in the most wonderful moments in the garden.

Sissinghurst Castle Garden
On the morning of the eighth day: Sissinghurst Garden
This is one of the most beautiful and famous world-class gardens in England, located in Kent, southeast England.

The white garden is the most beloved by flower enthusiasts. Even in the lushness of midsummer, it remains hazy and elegant.
Orange tones are the jewels of summer!

There are also the climbing vines on the walls, the flower beds by the walls, the green hedges that wind through them, alpine gardens, meadows, orchards, vegetable plots… One after another, the “delicacies” of the gardens are so rich and diverse that they are overwhelming.

Great Dixter House & Gardens
The most renowned feature of Big Dix Manor is its topiary and wildflower meadows. The topiary remains in perfect condition throughout the year, with the pink smoke trees providing a beautiful contrast in the height of summer.

In recent years, the long grass meadow flowerbed style has been popular in British gardens, allowing gardens to further return to an orderly nature and providing more growth space for various lives. The wildflower flowerbed at Great Dixter was one of the earliest pioneers.
The sunken garden and flower border area are both filled with the unrestrained growth of plants, brimming with the boundless vitality of life.

We also managed to visit the home of Christopher Lloyd, the gardener and gardening writer, before closing time. This historic house is also full of stories.

The Romance and Ruins of Nymans Estate
Time flies. In the blink of an eye, it’s the ninth day of the garden study tour, July 10th.
This garden was built by three generations of German Jews, perfectly blending natural scenery with historical architecture. The garden flows like a stream, with a natural and unrestrained grace.

From the vastness of the forested hillside at the entrance to the gradual narrowing of the grand lawn before the castle, the flower beds seem carelessly arranged yet each one is exquisitely crafted.

It is necessary to mention that here is also on display the owner’s earliest smart bathroom, which was built in 1822. The interior space design of the entire house also takes both art and practicality into account. It’s truly amazing!

Border Hill Lane
下午:博德山丘花园
A romantic shade of blue and purple ushers in the prelude of the garden.

The Tudor-style mansion built in 1598 during the Elizabethan era has a lawn in front of it with wildflowers blooming brightly. It also serves as the most beautiful backdrop for the garden.

The Boddy Hill Garden covers an area of 17 acres. Over the past century, the garden has evolved with the changing colors and interests of the seasons, featuring rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and magnolias as its highlights. In summer, the rose garden and herbaceous borders add to the color.
I also like the various sculptures in this garden. They make the garden even more wonderful.

As the grand finale of the garden expo tour, the Wisteria Garden, known as the “encyclopedia of English gardens”, is a must-visit for every gardening enthusiast. It features over 30 distinctive attractions, including the rock garden, glasshouse, rose garden, walled garden, vegetable garden, seven-acre garden, herb garden and Buteston Hill.

Wesley Garden, one visit is never enough!
I’m here for the second time and still haven’t had my fill.

Afternoon: Rosie’s Private Garden Party in London – A Gathering of Chinese and British Flower Lovers
Rosie is from Nanjing and has been in London for over a decade. Her garden is also a frequent gathering place for Chinese people in London.
The garden is not large, but it has a spacious lawn. It is complete with an entrance garden, a flower bed against the wall, a corridor pavilion, a vegetable plot and a sunroom. The apples and cherries are also very inviting.
